Manufacturer of digital printing technology Sawgrass will introduce its new product, VersiFlex, at Fespa 2025, scheduled for 6-9 May at Messe Berlin, Germany.

VersiFlex is a compact decorating system that combines three printing methods – sublimation, direct-to-garment (DTG), and direct-to-film (DTF) – within a single platform. According to Sawgrass, the system is intended for on-demand production and is compatible with a variety of materials, including natural fabrics (cotton and linen) and rigid surfaces (wood, ceramic, and metal).

The company states that the VersiFlex system uses a combination of Sawgrass printers, new VersiFlex ink formulations, proprietary transfer papers, and software tools. The print is transferred using a heat press, a process that does not require curing ovens or ventilation equipment, making it suitable for small production spaces.Sawgrass to launch decorating system at Fespa

Sawgrass positions VersiFlex as a more flexible alternative to traditional decoration systems. It is compatible with Sawgrass’s SG500 and SG1000 printers and supports both standard and extended cartridge formats. The company says this enables scalability for both small-scale and batch production workflows.

Sawgrass president Thomas Kirschner commented: “Creative professionals, small businesses, and on-demand producers no longer have to choose between quality, versatility, and simplicity. This platform delivers the functionality of sublimation, DTF, and DTG in one system.”

VersiFlex will be available in Europe starting in late April 2025, with broader distribution planned through regional dealers.
