Epson has launched its first wide-format DTF printer – the SureColor G6070. The new printer has been designed to address the wants and needs of garment decorators, delivering reliability, ease of use, minimal maintenance, and consistent print quality, explained Epson.

‘Many print service providers are already using DTF in their shop yet are spending much of their resources maintaining their equipment, rather than growing their business,’ said Andreas Goehring, director of professional imaging, Epson America. This new printer, he continued, will open new doors for apparel decorators looking to explore new and creative ways to produce apparel.

The SureColor G6070 features a front-loading media design that supports a 35.4inch print width to fit more transfers per roll. The machine has a PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead with nozzle verification technology, as well as a large-capacity sealed-ink-pack system featuring new UltraChrome DF inks. This consistently delivers professional-grade prints with vibrant colours and crisp, detailed clarity, stated the company.

The SureColor G6070 includes an automated maintenance system and fabric printhead wiper cleaning system, contributing to the low maintenance of a few minutes work a week, stated Epson.

Additional features of the new printer include on-site service and support; real-time monitoring through Epson Cloud Solution Port1; safety-certified inks; space-saving design; and an efficient workflow with Fiery Digital Factory DTF Epson Edition software.
