SA International (Sai), provider of software options for the signmaking, digital printing, textile and CNC machining industries has launched Flexi Complete, a comprehensive and fully updated version of its Flexi signmaking software.
As a result of a conscious effort to rationalise and simplify the lineup of Flexi software, the new Flexi Complete comprises a host of new and convenient features, engineered to address the day-to-day requirements of sign and display users.
Based on customers’ feedback, the new features introduced in Flexi Complete mean that finishing tools are now seamlessly integrated into the design workflow, instead of being options to be applied in Production Manager. This is explained to improve efficiencies by enabling sign and large format display users to easily add grommets, fold lines and bleeds to any project. By using the DesignCentral control panel, users can customise elements directly and achieve precise bleeds with multiple options including corner choices.
With two new nesting options within Production Manager, users can benefit from smoother workflows. These new options allow job images to be viewed during movement and layouts to be updated with a simple checkbox. Additional features like manual overlapping, zoom options and vertical alignment tools offer increased precision and efficiency for users, regardless of the sign or large format print application they’re working on.
A newly described innovative and intuitive custom weed path tool means weed lines can be created with just one click, simply by drawing a path over any vector object. This new tool has been designed with time-saving in mind so that operators can efficiently automate processes while ensuring flawless results.
Flexi Complete introduces a refreshed look to Flexi’s interface, which, based on user preferences, now offers a set of options to personalise the theme and layout. For experienced professionals or those just starting out in signmaking, DTF, DTG, direct-to-vinyl, or other wide format printing applications, the interface promotes a streamlined workflow, so users can navigate the software with ease, saving both time and effort.
Other useful advancements introduced to address common everyday issues include Advanced Text Designer and Advanced ContourCut, the latter of which is explained to permit contour paths to be previewed by themselves, allowing users to catch any errors before the job is sent. Meanwhile, a new keyboard shortcut makes the problem of masking/unmasking objects much easier.
‘As its name reflects, Flexi Complete delivers the entire package integrating design, Rip and production capabilities into one solution,’ explained Mikki Webb, president and CEO of Sai.
‘As we have always done, we’re constantly developing the software to ensure it meets the specific and demanding needs of our customers and in Flexi Complete, we are delivering a solution that genuinely shifts the dial in improving productivity and efficiencies across the full gamut of sign and large format print applications,’ concluded Mr Webb.
