Leicester-based clothing company 5th Avenue has strengthened its internal operations with a new garment wrapping system from Friedheim Packaging, to support its growth.
5th Avenue creates, designs and manufactures products for large brands, operating in both the high street and licensing markets. With an emphasis on value, it concentrates on high quality clothing, competitive pricing and fast lead times.
A Beck Multiplex Pico was chosen from Friedheim, which will be used mainly for wrapping fast moving T-shirts and clothing items. The Pico is a fully automatic film packaging machine that uses a form shoulder for three-sided product sealing. Due to the company’s commitment to fast turnaround times, it required a cost-effective and reliable solution that could keep up with online orders. As 5th Avenue sells premium clothing categories and brands, the quality of the packaging is important, reflecting the quality of the garments.
The entry-level Multiplex Pico is compact but can achieve speeds of up to 60 cycles per hour with product dimensions up to 200 x 400mm. The machine features a job/product memory for quick setups and changeovers. Its energy-saving heating and drive systems are robust and designed for low maintenance for maximum efficiency and reliability.
